These are things that have moved me, make me think and feel. I wanted a tool to be able to pass on for journaling. One of the best tools was the readings that my friend Jeanette did for herself. They had many concepts that at times, I was not ready for. Then when I read it a year or five years later… I got something out of it.
That is what I hear the most…..is "How do I journal?" I used mine as a confident. I raged at it, was sarcastic, and told my sins there. There is funny things……. And all my memories of abuse. I kept a separate book for dreams…….

- When I look in the mirror, I see......
- What stops me from saying what I feel is......
- If I say what I feel, the worst thing that can happen is......
- If I say what I feel, the best thing that can happen is......
- If I could change one thing about how I see myself, it would be......
- When my inner voice speaks, I......
- Can I ask for help, and if not..... why?
- The last time I laughed was......
- My dream for myself is......
- What I am really angry about......
- To make a choice means to me......
- When I read something, and it makes me uncomfortable, I.....
- In what situation have I been treated unfairly?
- I know that I am good at......
- Religion means to me......
- Spirituality means to me......
- One thing I have wanted to make is......
- Even not choosing.... Is a choice.... means.....
- The persons who taught me to doubt myself are......
- Things I do for enjoyment are.....
- Grieving to me means.....
- If I see someone crying I think of him or her as......
- If I cry, I see myself as.....

"One Day My Soul Just Opened Up" by Iyanla Vanzant
- Remain open. There is something bigger than you know going on here.
- We punish ourselves with guilt, shame, and fear when we choose not to act in concert with our inherently divine nature.
- Our lives are a reflection of our conscious and subconscious choices. When we do not choose, we live by default.
- When you refuse to pay attention to what life is saying to you, life will make its point very clear.
- Fun is the demonstration of the belief in joy.
- Silence is a choice not to choose.
- Unconscious choice wins by default.
- The truth of who I am cannot be altered or changed.
- Freedom is a state of mind.
- Choosing in fear is not acceptance.
- Acceptance of what is does not mean liking it as is.
- I cannot change what I am not willing to face.
- I have the power to consciously choose what I think.
- Truth is consistent and eternal.
- I must be willing to do the work to overcome fear.
- Boundaries allow me to take care of myself.
- Boundaries create the freedom of choice.
- To give, share, or support need not mean taking care of.
- I can say no and still give love and support.
- Everyone has the power to heal themselves.
- I am powerful enough to give what I have without losing anything.
- I am entitled to honor what I feel.
- People come into your life or a reason, a season, or a lifetime.
- Whatever you repress will become stress.
- People do what they do based on their feelings and beliefs, which are not right or wrong.
- I always judge others by the judgments I have made of myself.
- I can forgive myself.
- What I withhold from another will be withheld from me.
- I have a right to feel what I feel.
- People act out of the need for healing.
- Fear wears many faces.
- If it is not love, it is fear.
- Mistakes are natural occurrences.
- No one else can do what I was born to do.
- I cannot do what someone else was born to do.
- I am as the Divine created me to be.
- There is a child in me who loves to play.
- Rest. Work. Play. Serve. Learn. Teach. Give. Receive.
"Truth Or Dare" by Starhawk
- When in my life have I complied or obeyed when I didn't want to?
- What did I feel at the time?
- What was I thinking?
- What choices did I perceive?
- What other choices actually existed?
- What might have happened had I taken them?
- In what situations have I withdrawn?
- What parts of myself do I have to conceal?
- Who does guilt serve?
- Is my guilt preventing me from taking action?
- What judgments am I making because of guilt?
- What subject do I avoid talking about, shift away from and why?
